Forgotten Username
This article contains instructions for recovering your Trane® Home username in the event that you forget it.
If you have forgotten your username, you can recover it from the Trane Home web portal or from the Trane Home mobile app.
NOTE: This article does not pertain to forgotten passwords or email addresses. For assistance with those issues, please see Forgotten Password for Trane® Home or Forgotten Email Address for Trane® Home.
From the Web Portal
From the Trane Home web portal, you can recover your username in one of two ways:

Log into the Trane Home web portal with the email address associated with your account. Your username will appear after the word "Welcome," in the upper right corner of all portal pages.
OR

Request a reminder email from the Trane Home system.

- Go to www.tranehome.com and click the link that says I forgot my Username or Password.
- Enter your email address in the box on the right and click Continue to request we send you your username. NOTE: This must be the email address associated with your Trane Home account. If you cannot remember the email address, please see Forgotten Email Address for Trane® Home for further assistance.
- The system will confirm your request with the message below.
- You will receive an email containing your username within 5-10 minutes.
NOTE: If you have multiple accounts associated with the same email address, you will see multiple usernames in the email. - Return to the web portal and log in with your username and password.
- Go to www.tranehome.com and click the link that says I forgot my Username or Password.

From the Mobile App

For Current App Users

- Log into the Trane Home app using either your PIN or biometric login, depending on your previously configured login preferences.
- Tap the menu button in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Select Support & Feedback.
- Your username and the email address associated with your account are displayed at the bottom of the screen.

For First-Time Users/Logged-Out Users

- Open the Trane Home mobile app and tap Log In.
- Tap the link that says I forgot my Username or Password.
- Enter your email address in the bottom section and press Recover Username to request we send you your username. NOTE: This must be the email address associated with your Trane Home account. If you cannot remember the email address, please see Forgotten Email Address for Trane® Home for further assistance.
- The system will confirm your request with the message below. Press OK.
- You will receive an email containing your username within 5-10 minutes.
NOTE: If you have multiple accounts associated with the same email address, you will see multiple usernames in the email. - Return to the mobile app and press Log In.
- Log in with your username and password.
- Select a new PIN and enter it twice to access and secure the app.
