Trane Home Beta App - Pause Heating and Cooling

We encourage customers who have been invited to join the Trane Home app beta release to use the beta version as much as possible and send your honest feedback to hello@tranehome.com.

A new feature of the Trane Home Beta App is temporarily suspending heating and cooling.  You can do this using the Pause function available on each routine or by turning your HVAC system off via the app menu.

The pause function requires scheduling (routines) to be enabled.

 Pause Function

• To Pause Heating and Cooling:

  1. 1. Tap Pause on any routine to pause heating or cooling.

     2. The app will display System Paused and when the pause is scheduled to end.  The end time is, by default, the scheduled start time of the next routine.
        
        
        

• To Change When the System Will Resume From Pause:

  1. 1. Tap Until <time>....
        
        
     2. Select the current end time.
        
        
     3. Choose a new end time by scrolling up or down for hour, minute, and AM/PM.  Press OK when finished.
        
        
     4. Tap Save to apply the new end time.
        
        
        

• To Immediately End the Pause and Return to the Scheduled Routine: 

  1. 1. Press End Now.
        
        

 

 

Turn the System Off

With the Trane Home Beta App, you can easily turn your HVAC system off to pause HVAC operation until you decide to turn it back on.

1. 1. 1. Tap the Controls icon on the bottom of the screen
         
         
      2. Select System is On and the system will switch to Off mode.
         
      3. To resume HVAC operation, press the power button icon OR go to Controls and choose System is Off
