Z-Wave® Device Enrollment, Unenrollment, and Forced Removal
Enrollment (Inclusion)
To add a device to the network, you must perform an enrollment, also known as inclusion. There are three ways to perform enrollment: Via the bridge, web portal, or the mobile app.

Put the bridge into Enrollment (Inclusion) mode.

Via the bridge itself:

BR100 Standalone Bridge — Press the (+) button on the bridge. The amber light will blink slowly.

BR200 Standalone Bridge — Press the (+) button on the bridge. The Z-Wave light will blink slowly.

XL824/850/1050 — Press Menu→Smart Home→Add Device.

Via the web portal:

Go to Add Device→(Choose the class of device)→(Choose the device model)→(Click Continue until the countdown begins), If the device isn't listed, go to Add Device→Other Z-Wave Supported Device.

Go to Add Device→(Choose the class of device)→(Choose the device model)→(Click Continue until the countdown begins), If the device isn't listed, go to Add Device→Other Z-Wave Supported Device.

Via the mobile app:

Go to Menu→Connect New Device→Z-Wave→Continue

Via the bridge itself:
Perform the enrollment/inclusion process on the device by following the directions in the article that led you here or the device's manual.
Unenrollment (Exclusion)
To remove a device from the network, you must perform an unenrollment, also known as exclusion. Unplugging the device or removing the battery will not remove it from the network.

Put the bridge into Unenrollment (Exclusion) mode.

Via the bridge itself:

BR100 Standalone Bridge — Press the (-) button on the bridge. The amber light will blink slowly.

BR200 Standalone Bridge — Press the (-) button on the bridge. The Z-Wave light will blink slowly.

XL824/850/1050 — Press Menu→Smart Home→Remove Device.

Via the mobile app:

Go to Menu→App Settings→Home Settings→Remove Node

- Perform the unenrollment/exclusion process on the device by following the directions in the article that led you here, or the device's manual.
Forced Removal
This function must be used to remove a device that cannot be excluded the usual way because the device is no longer physically present or inoperative.
| Forced removals can only be performed in the web portal. This function is not available in the mobile app. |
- Confirm the bridge is online.

Choose the device to remove via the web portal.

Select the correct device category (Security & Sensors, Lighting & Modules, etc.) from the grey menu on the left side of the page.

Or go to Edit->Advanced for a list of all devices. Some devices will only appear here.

Locate the device to be removed and press the Remove button.
- A new page with instructions and images specific to the bridge will appear detailing the unenrollment (exclusion) process.

Press Remove Device again.
- The bridge will try to contact the device to verify it is no longer responding. This takes about a minute.
- Even if the forced removal is successful, there may be a significant delay (up to an hour) between the time it succeeds and the time it's removed from the web portal.
