How to Enroll and Unenroll a Schlage® Lock
Lock Enrollment
Please locate your lock model below and follow the accompanying instructions.
NOTE: If your lock fails to enroll, you must unenroll it manually before reattempting enrollment.
BE469NX/BE468
- Extend the deadbolt on the lock
- On standalone bridges (BR100 and BR200): Press the (+) button on the bridge

- On the BR100 (black bridge with either a Schlage or Nexia® logo), the amber Z-Wave® light will flash slowly.
- On the BR200 (white bridge with a Nexia logo), the green Z-Wave light will flash slowly.

- On XL824/XL850 and XL1050 Thermostats:

- Press Menu.
- Select Smart Home.
NOTE: Some users may see a Nexia button here instead due to differences in firmware. - Press Add Device.
- Press Menu.

- On the lock, press the Schlage button to wake up the keypad
- Enter the 6-digit code
- Press the '0' button (The lock will flash amber while it is trying to pair. If the process is successful, the lock will flash a green check. If the process fails, the lock will flash a red X.)
BE469ZP
- On the BR200 (white bridge with a Nexia logo): Press the (+) button on the bridge and the green Z-Wave light will flash slowly.
- On the lock, press the Learn button located on the inside of the lock under the back battery cover.
NOTE: The Learn button on the lock only works with the BR200 bridge. If you are using a BR100 bridge (black bridge with either a Schlage or Nexia logo) or an XL thermostat instead of a bridge, or if these steps do not work for enrolling/un-enrolling the lock, please follow the enrollment procedure for the BE469NX listed above.

Enter the 6-digit Programming Code on the door lock

Press the Schlage button (Keypad will turn blue)

On standalone bridges (BR100 and BR200): Press the (+) button on the bridge.

On the BR100 (black bridge with either a Schlage or Nexia logo), the amber Z-Wave light will flash slowly.

On the BR200 (white bridge with a Nexia logo), the green Z-Wave light will flash slowly.

On XL824/XL850 and XL1050 Thermostats:

- Press Menu.
- Select Smart Home.

- Press Menu.

- Press the 0 key on the lock (Schlage light on lock should flash green if successful.
- On the BR100 (black bridge), the amber Z-Wave light should flash rapidly then turn solid.
- On the BR200 (white bridge), the green Z-Wave light should flash rapidly 5 times then turn solid.
- On the XL824/XL850 and XL1050 thermostats, the screen will return to the Smart Home (or Nexia) menu.
Unenrollment

On Standalone Bridges (BR100 and BR200) - repeat the enrollment process, but press the minus (-) button on the bridge.

If using a BR100 bridge, make sure the 9-Volt battery in the bridge is good.

On XL824/XL850 and XL1050 Thermostats - repeat the enrollment process, but press Remove Device in the Smart Home/Nexia menu.
Understanding Your Lock's Blink Patterns
Check your lock's batteries by entering a user code on the lock. The lists below describe the light sequences for Schlage lock models BE469, BE468, FE599, and BE369.
BE469/BE468 -- 4 AA batteries
- Green checkmark – Correct Code
- Red X – Incorrect Code
- Amber circular light flashing – Low Batteries
- Green checkmark/Red X – Vacation Mode
FE599 -- 4 AA batteries
- Green flash – Correct Code
- Red flash – Incorrect Code
- Red/Green flash – Low Batteries
- Green/Red – Vacation Mode
BE369 -- 4 AA batteries and a 9V battery
NOTE: the AA batteries power the Z-Wave chip and the 9V battery powers the keypad. You must have both installed. |
- Green flash – Correct Code
- Red flash – Incorrect Code
- Red/green flash – Low 9V Battery
- Green/Red – Vacation Mode
- Green/Orange – Low AA Batteries
- Red/Green/Orange - Low AA Batteries and 9V Battery
