Reconfiguring WiFi for a Trane® XR724 Thermostat
If your SSID (WiFi network name) or your WiFi password has changed, or if the thermostat has disconnected from WiFi, you will need to reconfigure WiFi using the Trane Home mobile app.
You must press Continue on each screen in the app as you perform the steps below!!!
★ NOTE ★Parts of this process are performed in the mobile app and others are done on the thermostat itself. You must be in the same location as your thermostat to reconfigure WiFi. |
- Log in to the Trane Home mobile app.
- If you have multiple homes, select the home where the XR724 thermostat is installed.
- Select your XR724 thermostat.
- Tap Settings.
- Select Reconfigure WiFi Connection.
- Disconnect your thermostat from the current WiFi connection as illustrated below.:

- Put your thermostat in Join Mode as illustrated below.:

Connect to your thermostat as illustrated below.:

- Choose a WiFi network for your thermostat.:
