Why are you rebranding the Nexia® mobile app to Trane Home?
We are simplifying your brand experience by matching the name of your Trane thermostat and/or HVAC system to the name of your app. By using the Trane Home app, all of our communications, updates, and new features will directly relate to your system.
Since Trane is an expert in HVAC, we will focus on developing features and functionality relating to home comfort, efficiency, and air quality.
All existing integrations with products will remain the same after the rebrand.
Are you changing your app functionality?
Not at all! You will still have every piece of functionality that has made Nexia great. The only changes are:
- Where you log in to the portal (now tranehome.com)
- The name of the app you will use (Trane Home)
- The colors and logo on the app (now Trane red)
- The emails you receive will now read Trane instead of Nexia.
What action is required on my part?
None!
Your app will automatically update to the new branding with an app update. If you have automatic app updates on your phone, no action will be required.
If you do not have automatic app updates enabled, please follow these steps:
- Android users:
- Visit the Google Play Store.
- Go to My Apps and Games.
- Trane Home will be listed as an available update.
- iOS users:
- Visit the Apple App Store.
- Select Account Settings.
- Trane Home will be listed as an available update.
When I get the updated app, will my settings still be set up? Or do I need to reconnect everything?
All of your previous settings will be saved in the updated app; no action is required.
I like the Nexia app. Do I have to change to the Trane Home app?
Because Nexia is becoming Trane Home, the change will be automatic for all Nexia users. All the same functions and features are available in the Trane Home app, so you can do everything you did with Nexia.
Why is my Nexia app gone?
The Nexia app isn’t really gone, it’s just been changed to align with the brand of your HVAC system/thermostat. You’ll now be able to manage your Trane system through a Trane mobile app. You can still do everything with the new app that you could do with Nexia.
Want to try Trane Home but haven't used the Nexia mobile app?
No problem! You can download the app and use your mobile device to control your home from anywhere!
What if I have both Trane and American Standard thermostats/systems in my house?
You will be assigned a preferred brand that will display in your web portal and throughout all of your communications. However, you can log in on either the Trane Home or American Standard Home mobile app.
Are my Nexia products still compatible?
Yes! Trane Home still integrates with Nexia accessories and the hundreds of other compatible products in our ecosystem. You connect a new product the same way you’ve done in the past (via portal or mobile).

Will anything change with my thermostat?
Your thermostat will remain the same, and your mobile app will connect to it just as it always has. If you are installing a new thermostat or if your thermostat has received a specific firmware update, you will see a generic Smart Home button instead of the Nexia logo.
Why is the Nexia icon on my thermostat gone?
Because we are no longer using the Nexia name, the Nexia icon will be replaced by a Smart Home icon. The Smart Home icon is present on all new Trane thermostats and any older thermostats that have received a specific update. There is no change in the functionality of your thermostat.
I only use the web portal, not the mobile app. Where can I go to access the new Trane web portal?
Visit www.tranehome.com. Make sure you bookmark this and log in here. If you try to log in to Nexia, it will reroute you.
Also, please note: the mobile app has additional functionality that is not included in the web portal if you’d like to use Trane Home on the go!
I’m being redirected to tranehome.com. Why can’t I get to mynexia.com?
It is normal for you to be redirected to tranehome.com if you try to visit mynexia.com. Your account is safe and tranehome.com is the correct web portal for all Trane Home customers. Everything available to you on mynexia.com is still available to you in the new portal, including all of your settings.
I have a Nexia bridge, not Trane equipment. Why do I have to switch to Trane?
Nexia has always been a Trane brand and we are just changing the name to reflect that. Trane is replacing Nexia, but you will still have all of the same functionality.
